DJ Slimzee is one of the founding fathers of grime and one of the most influential DJs in UK underground music. In 1994, he helped co-found Rinse FM—broadcasting from rooftops and tower blocks when pirate radio was the heartbeat of the city.

His Sunday shows became essential listening: a live platform for new dubplates, freestyles and the darker instrumentals that would become grime. That instinct to back what comes next still runs through Slimzos Recordings.
